Hi, thanks for stopping by.

Right now I call Melbourne, Australia home. I am 1/3 of a design and technology company called Joan. We work with clients to help bring to life ideas that create value for their customers. We also build our own products.

Most of my work is in product strategy, prototyping & user testing, and interface design. I can’t code, yet.

In 2009 I created an international design competition called Positive Posters and in 2011 an Australian design conference called Sex, Drugs & Helvetica.

Previously I’ve worked with IDEO (Singapore) and  KDIS (Melb) and have previously worked with Carter Digital (Melb) and TheLoop.com.au (Syd).

Surfing and snowboarding make regular appearances in my life as do long red wine filled dinners.

I think humans shouldn’t be driving cars, and design education (especially in Australia) is broken, with possible solutions involving earlier and more detailed business 101 classes and educating designers to understand their client’s objectives and business requirements.

You can get in touch via email or hit me on Twitter.

Thanks –

Nick
